Kendall & Wall organises outings to various places of interest.

We are a Charitable Trust dedicated to reducing loneliness and social isolation by organising outings for elderly, infirm or disabled people.
We provide:
  • A door to door service in our wheelchair accessible vehicle.
  • Wheelchair or scooter rental so that you can tour your destination.
  • Friendly staff to push your wheelchair if necessary
  • All admission charges included (unless otherwise indicated)
  • Free tea or coffee on all outings. Food not included except where stated.
Monday
3rd August
BBQ at Mike & Kiko’s houseA great way to end lockdown! Head for Mike & Kiko’s house where there will be plenty of Pimm’s on tap. There will be the usual barbeque and lots of fun.
NB Weather dependent– if the forecast is bad we will reorganise the date!

7th August
Shrewsbury Farmer’s MarketShrewsbury Farmer’s Market is held on the first Friday of every month in the town square. It’s a great way to discover some of the best produce Shropshire has to offer. After lunch we shall visit Shrewsbury Cathedral (if open) which was designed by Pugin.£25
Tuesday
11th August
Dovedale Village TourJoin us for a drive through beautiful Dovedale and explore its attractive villages. including Longnor, Hartington, Alstonefield & Thorpe. We shall also visit Ilam in the adjacent Manifold Valley.£28

14th August
Metro trip through Black CountryThe West Midlands Metro is a great way to explore the Black Country as it snakes through Bilston, Wednesbury, West Bromwich & Smethwick. Fully wheelchair accessible and super modern. We shall board at Wolverhampton and travel to Birmingham where we shall have lunch before returning.£25

17th August
Stratford River CruiseCruise aboard the Jennifer May, a modern Dutch Barge, heated and fully covered with unique viewing angles through the glass roof panels, and the capacity to seat up to 60 people in comfort. The vessel is also fully equipped to effortlessly board and carry wheelchairs, and has a fully accessible WC.
We plan to have lunch at the Red Lion on Warwick Road.

Trentham GardensEnjoy a great day out at Trentham. Visit the award-winning gardens, for shopping and eating out, peace and quiet, fun and action! Indulge yourself at Trentham Shopping Village with shops, cafés, restaurants and the vast Trentham Garden Centre.£30

25th August
Fradley JunctionFradley Junction is the spot where the Trent & Mersey Canal and the Coventry Canal meet. It is a hive of activity, with people walking, boating, enjoying nature, or taking a break in the café or pub. We will walk the natuture trail before having lunch nearby.£24

Birmingham Botanical GardensEnjoy a spring day out at the fabulous Botanic Gardens.
- Four stunning glasshouses showing tropical rainforest to arid desert.
- Beautiful gardens
We shall have a picnic in the grounds

Tuesday
1st September
Trent cruiseEnjoy an idyllic 3 hour cruise on the Trent with superb views of historic Nottingham. The Nottingham Princess is a luxury river cruiser, fully enclosed and heated, with a comfortable lounge and well-stocked bar. We shall enjoy the River Trent in all its seasonal glory and have a traditional roast dinner including hot apple pie and custard and a cup of tea or coffee.£38

Picnic in Sutton ParkSutton Park is one of the largest urban parks in Europe. We will put up a gazebo in the park and have a picnic – including a glass of bubbly!

Home cinema: South Pacific (Mike & Kiko’s house)The Oscar winning Rogers and Hammerstein musical starring Mitzi Gaynor, Rossano Brazzi, Juanita Hall and the gorgeous France Nuyen. Includes unforgettable songs such as Some Enchanted Evening, There is Nothing Like a Dame, Younger than Springtime, and Happy Talk.
A hot meal with wine will be served.

Uttoxeter Treasure TrailFollow the clues to learn about and explore Uttoxeter. As usual, we will have lunch at a local pub.£20

National Memorial Arboretum, AlrewasThe Arboretum was the brainchild of Commander David Childs CBE who wished to see established a national focus for Remembrance. Covering 150 acres, the Arboretum has something for everyone. For some it’s a wonderful place to stroll and enjoy the trees; for others it's a peaceful and beautiful place to remember loved ones, particularly those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.£20

Dobbies Garden Centre, Atherstone & carveryDobbies’ Garden Centre at Atherstone stretches out over a whopping 52 acres - quite possibly the UK’s biggest garden centre. The 80,000 sq. ft garden centre shop offers a massive range of gardening items and equipment.
Tamworth was the ancient capital of Mercia. Join us to explore the history of this fascinating town, then finishing off with a roast dinner at the famous Pretty Pigs carvery

West Midlands Safari Park, BewdleyJoin us on safari as we drive through herds of giraffes, lions, tigers & whine rhino. See groups of cheetahs in natural enclosures. You will definitely enjoy this amazing experience.£38

Penkridge MarketThere’s been a general market in Penkridge every Wednesday and Saturday for donkey’s years. They also sell live poultry! Come with us to Penkridge to explore this ancient town and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the market.£24

Wolseley Nature Centre, RugeleyThe Wolseley Nature Centre at Rugeley is run by the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and is one of the county’s hidden gems. There are 26 acres of beautiful grounds with a network of accessible footpaths around the 3 lakes. There are several gardens which help to attract an abundance of wildlife. There is also a newly opened visitor centre and lakeside café.£25
